Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Glazed dark cream and dark blue paper with visible laid lines.Decoration: Illuminated headpiece in gold, blue, red, orange and white (fol. 2b). All headings written in black on gold background with blue outlined edges.Incipit: بسمليله ايده لم فتح كلام فتح اوله تا بو معما ى بنامExplicit: اولمدين بيك يدى تاريخى تمام بو رسالمده تمام اولدى تمام - Later? type III (without flap) binding of brown leather. Gold-stamped mandorlas and gold-tooled edging. Spine and cover edges repaired in red leather. Doublures in burgundy leather with gold painted mandorla-shaped motifs in the centre, and marbled paper pasted around the edges. - Hakanî Mehmet Bey's hilye, a poem in praise of the Prophet Muhammad, describing his personal appearance and character. The poem was composed in 1007 (1598-99) -- see end of text.
