Written in small naskh in black ink. Cream paper with laid and chain lines visible. The lower part of the first fol. is mended with a piece of paper with inscriptions. Two inscriptions in pencil on the upper cover : "A271a" (in Roman script), and "289" (in Arabic numerals, in purple).Collation: Paper, fol. 95 ; 1-9¹⁰ 10⁶ (-1, after fol. 95) ; catchword on the verso of each leaf.Origin: Copy completed on Yawm al-Sabt 14 Dhū al-Qaʻdah 822 [Dec. 2, 1419] in Makkah (colophon, fol. 94a). - Disbound. Only the spine is extant. - Treatise on the pauses in the reading of the Qurʼān. The text is followed on fol. 94b-95a by a short excerpt from Kitāb Marātib al-uṣūl wa-gharāʼib al-fuṣūl attributed to al-Sakhāwī, on the names given to various categories of readers of the Qurʼān, written by the same hand.
