Rubrication and catchwords. Numerous paper repairs, some staining and smudging. Last few leaves mildewed. In fair condition.Decoration: Well-executed illuminations. On fol. 1a, illuminated mandorla with pendants in gold and color. On fol. 1b, illuminated ʻunwān in gold and color; on fol. 1b-2a, margins illuminated with foliar pattern, and text framed in gold and decorated with gold arabesque. Remainder of text framed in blue and gold, with columns separated by double gold lines. Space after colophon on fol. 162b illuminated with floral pattern in gold and color.Origin: On fol. 72a, 19 Rabīʻ II 1147 H [18 September 1734], Muḥammad Bāqir ibn Qivām al-Dīn Ḥusayn Shīrāzī. On fol. 84a, 8 Dhū al-Qaʻdah 1170 H [25 July 1757], Shujāʻ al-Dīn Maḥmūd al-Ḥusaynī. The poem "Maḥmūd Āyāz" by Zalālī is stated to have been originally completed in 1014 H (fol. 162b). - Full dark brown leather with blind-stamped fillets; red leather doublures. - Collection of Persian poetry; poets include Saʻdī, Vaḥshī Yazdī, Ṭālib Āmulī, Muʾmin Ḥusayn Yazdī, Awḥadī, Jāmī Muḥammad Jān, Nawʻī, Zulālī, and others.
