Important ḥāshiyah on the margin. Cream paper, glossy, hardly translucid, with a few chain lines visible. Fol. 1-2 and 207 are later additions (European paper with watermark), with inscriptions, including Kabīkaj, ownership statements, a table of contents dated Shaʻbān [1]203 H., and impression of a seal. Quinions ; catchword on the verso of each leaf. Modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals (omits the first three leaves). Foliation in black ink using Arabic numerals (starts with "2" on fol. 5a).Decoration: Illuminated title page on fol. 3a, executed in gold, blue, red and white, and consisting of a panel defined by a single blue line, with an upper cartouche bearing the beginning of the title and a lower panel with four rosettes in the inner corners and a scalloped central mandorla with the end of the title and the statement of responsibility, on a ground left plain.Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "Tafsīr 7".
