Irregular length of the lines. Thick ivory paper, glossy, hardly transparent, with pulp and laid lines visible. Fol. 56 and 57 are later additions (European paper). Occasional marginal annotations. Note on the copy by a modern hand on the pastedown of the upper cover.Two spine labels (vertical), reading respectively: "Sharḥ al-[--]ūmah Ibn al-ʻI[mād] fī ādāb al-akl", and "4", in Arabic and in Western numerals.Origin: Copy dated -53. Probably 15th or 16th century.Incipit: الحمد لربي مني مسبغ النعم والشكر والثنا للمانح النحل الحمد الثنا على [---] بذكر صفاته الجميلة وافعاله الحسنةExplicit and colophon: والمصطفين وكل الرسل بلغهم ومن السلام سلاما زاكي العمل تم الكتاب بحمد الله وعونه ثاني عشر ربيع الاول سنه ثلاثه وخمسين - Marbled paper over paper pasteboards for upper and lower covers and envelope flap. Golden brown leather for spine and fore-edge flap. Modern paper pastedown and free endpaper (inscription visible underneath the pastedown of the upper cover). - Versified treatise on good manners and legal matters regarding food, sleep, prayer, etc., with commentary by the author. The text is followed on fol. 56b by two jadwāl and by a fāʼidah written by the same hand.
