Notlar Ms. codex.Title from fol. 5b.Copied by Abdullah bin Ali in Sarajevo, in the Katib Kasim Mahalle -- colophon (fol. 146b).21 lines per page. Written in small naskh in black ink with use of red. Text is written within a frame outlined with single line of red ink. On fol. 5b-6a the frame lines are double. Some pages also have margins outlined in red ink. Fol. 5b has a simple triangular head piece made with two lines of red ink. Glazed white paper with visible chain lines and watermarks, blind ruled with narrow lines running parallel to laid lines. Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Some marginal annotation throughout. Fol. 1b-4b contain table of contents ruled in red and filled in black ink. Foliation in Arabic numerals in black ink starts on fol. 6.Incipit: حمد وثنا اولسون اول الله عظيم الشانه كه عالملرى يوقدن وار ايدوب هر نسنهء ممكن اولان كمالنه ايرشدردىExplicit: اتمامى بيك يوز يكرمى طقوز سنه سنك آيلرندن رجب شريف اينك بشنجى كونى مبارك اثنين كوننده واقع اولمشدر شرحمز دخى مؤمنلره مبارك اوله امين - Half leather with envelope flap. Orange marbled paper on covers (almost entirely faded, with blue and yellow veins painted over at places). Different marbled paper on envelope flap. Brown leather on spine and fore edge flap. Pastedowns in cream paper. Lining to envelope flap in glazed orange paper. Lining to fore edge flap in brown leather. Label on spine: "A134". - Tarikatçı Emir's commentary on Hamza Efendi's Risālah fī ḥaqq al-bayʻ wa-al-shirāʼ, a treatise on trade in Islam. According to the text, the commentary was completed on the 5th of Rajab 1129 (15th of June 1717) -- see explicit (fol. 146b).

Kaynak An ownership statement in black ink laced with silver glitter on fol. 1a, with the name partially crossed out: [Ibrahim] Hafız el-Kuran Mehmet ibn [el-Hacı Osman] Ali... [?]; this is accompanied by a small rectangular seal and the price for which it was bought (30 guruş).Originally acquired by Robert Garrett from Abraham Shalom Yahuda ; 1942.Acquired from Abraham Shalom Yahuda.
