On the colophon page there is a note about the author.Collation: Paper ; fol. 501 ; catchwords ; quires signed: 2-50 ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.Layout: 21 lines per page ; frame-ruled in red.Description: Text in red and commentary in black ; watermarks (three crescents) ; MS in good condition.Origin: According to colophon copy completed Thursday 12 Rabīʻī al-Awwal 1162 (fol. 501a).Incipit: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم وبه الاعانة الحمد لله الذي خلق کل شيء بقدرته واوجده في ان ظهوره بارادته ...Colophon: ووافق الفراغ من تبييض هذا الشرح المسمى بامداد الفتاح شرح نورالايضاح ونجاة الارواح في مثل ايام البداءة فيه في منتصف شهر ربيعي [ربيع] الاول وهو الثاني عشر يوم الخميس المبارك باشارة سيد البشر سنة الف ومائة اثنتين وستين احسن الله ختامها. بيد مؤلفه حسن بن عمار بن علي الشر نبلالي الحنفي الوفائي غفرالله له وللمسلمين وصلى الله على سيدنا محمد وعلى اله وصحبه وسلم امين - Contemporaneous? type II (with flap) binding in brown leather. Blind-stamped mandorla with pendants and blind-tooled edging on covers. Similar decoration on flap and spine. Endbands. - A commentary on Nūr al-īḍāḥ wa-najāt al-arwāḥ, a compendium of Muslim worship and ceremonial purity, by the same author.
