The title page lists additional titles which are not present in the current volume.Collation: Paper ; fol. 198 ; quires signed: 2-20 ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.Layout: 21 lines per page.Description: Rubricated ; watermarks (anchor) ; MS in good condition.Origin: According to colophon copy completed 24 Dhū al-Ḥijjah 1015 by Muslim al-Azʹharī (fol. 197b).Incipit: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم وبه ثقتى ... وبعد فيقول المفتقر الى مولاه... ابو بكر بن اسمعيل الشنوانى ... هذا ما اشتدت اليه حاجة المتفهمين لمقدمة ...Colophon: کتبه مسلم الازهري بتاريخ رابع عشرين ذي الحجة الحرام من شهور سنة خمس عشرة والف احسن الله ختامها بمحمد واله وسلم - Later type II (with flap) binding in red leather. Blind-stamped mandorla with pendants and cornerpieces and blind-tooled decorative edgings on covers. Similar decoration on flap. Gold-sprinkled orange paper pastedowns. Quires not currently sewn or attached to the binding. In case of red leather and red marbled paper (215 x 167 mm) with a red leather pull strap and title label. Slipcover in poor condition. - A commentary on al-Muqaddimah fī al-basmalah wa-al-ḥamdalah, a work on the exegesis of the Basmalah and the Ḥamdalah, by Zakarīyā al-Anṣārī.
