European paper with watermark, glossy. Fol. 1-2 are later additions. Table of contents on fol. 3a. Foliation in black ink using arabic numerals (starts with "1" on fol. 4a).Chiefly quinions ; catchword on the verso of each leaf.Inscription "307" in Arabic numerals on a label pasted on the upper cover (repeated in Roman and Arabic numerals on fol. 1a).Origin: According to colophons, Juzʼ 8 completed on 27 Ṣafar 1005 [Oct. 20, 1596] (fol. 106a in the foliation in Arabic numerals) and juzʼ 10 completed on Tuesday 8 Rajab [Feb. 25, 1597] (fol. 316b), the latter mentioning the name of the copyist: Jaʻfar ibn Shams al-Dīn.Incipit: بسم ... وبه نستعين سورة العنكبوت مكية كلها فى قول عكرمةExplicit: فيؤيد الله المؤمن بالملك وهو قوله سبحانه وايدهم بروح تم الجزؤ العاشر وهو آخر كتاب مجمع البيان لعلوم القرآن خكاية عن خط المصنّف رحمه الله وهى الحمد لله اولا واخرا وظاهرا وباطنا على تسهيله وتيسيره وتقدّر الفراغ منه يوم الخميس منتصف ذى القعدة من سنة ست و ثلثين وخمسمائه اللهم لك الحمد على توفيقك وتاييدك ... [316ب] ... انتقل مصنّف الكتاب رحمه الله من المشهد الرضوى ... الى سبزوار فى شهور سنة (ثلاث وع)شرين وخمسمائه وانتقل بها الى دار الخلود ليلة النحر سنة ثمان واربعين وخمسمائه تغمّده الله الملك المنان بالرحمة والغفران اللهم كما انعمت علينا برسولك الامين ... انك ولىّ النعمة ولك الفضل والمنة - Quarter bound in black paper and golden brown leather. Re-used paper for pastedowns, with text. - Juzʼ 8-10 of a copy of a commentary on the Qurʼān, completed in 536/1141 (end of copy and GAL), comprising the text from Sūrat al-ʻAnkabūt to the end. One leaf from another ms. placed between the leaves (fragment of the Qurʼān: 150 x 90 (115 x 55) mm. ; 12 lines per page ; framed in gold outlined in black, and blue).
