Foliation in Arabic script indicates that first ten leaves of orginal manuscript are missing; leaves 1-8 are replacements. Lacuna of four leaves after leaf 162. Extensive damp staining and paper repairs; mild insect damage. Part of the lower edge moldered.Origin: 962 H [1554 or 1555], by ʻUs̲mān al-Rawz̤ī [?] at the behest of Niẓām al-Dīn Amīr Ibrāhīm (leaf 389b).Incipit: الحمد لله الذى جعل مرائى قلوب ...اما بعد ميگويد پاىء شكسته زاويه خمول [وكم نامى عبد] الرحمن ابن احمد الجامى - Full maroon leather with gold-stamped central mandorla, pendants, and cornerpieces and gold-tooled fillets. - A biographical dictionary of Sufi saints from the 11th century Hijrī down to the author's time.
