Irregular quires.Handmade spine label with inscription: "Khulāsat al-aqwāl dar rijāl" (horizontal).Origin: According to colophon, copied by Jaʻfar ibn Ghulām Ḥusayn ibn Jawād al-Shīrāzī, who completed his work ("taʻlīq") on Monday 29 Rabīʻ al-Awwal 1047 [1637] (fol. 100b, followed by verses of poetry in Persian).Incipit: بسم ... الحمد لله مرشد عباده الى سبيل السداد وهاديهم الى طريق النفع فى المعاش والمعاد وصلى الله على اشرف العباد محمد ... اما بعد فان العلم بحال الرواة من اساس الشريعة وعليه تبتنى القواعد السمعيةExplicit: مذكور فى كتابنا الكبير فمن اراده وقف عليه هناك والحمد لله حق حمده والصلوة على اشرف خلقه محمد المصطفى المصفى من الدنس واله المصطفين من الانس وسلم تسليما كثيرا كثيرا - Limp binding in dark brown leather. - Neat copy of a dictionary of authorities for ḥadīth in two parts (qism).
