Annotations on the margins and between the lines, and on slips of paper placed between the original leaves.Four slips with annotations are re-used letters (now shelved separately). See M. Kemper, Shikhsaidov, A., Tagirova, N. The Library of Imam Shamil, Princeton University Library Chronicle, vol. LXIV (2002), p. 139 and n. 41.Inscriptions in Roman script on the pastedown of the upper cover: "M. 19" (in red ink) ; "I. L. 463" (in pencil). Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on fol.1a: "1359/2 ḥāʼ".Origin: Copy completed in Ramaḍān 1206 [April-May 1792] by ---? (colophon, fol. 280b).Incipit: كهيعص الله اعلم بمراده بذلكExplicit: ان المهتدين ليسوا يهودا ولا نصارى والله تعالى اعلم وصلى الله تعالى وسلّم تسليما كثيرا على سيدنا محمد وعلى اله وصحبه اجمعين - Disbound quires placed within a quarter bound cover. Inscription in Arabic script in gold on spine, reading: "Majmūʻat khaṭṭ" - Second half of the Tafsīr al-Jalālayn, comprising the text from Sūrat Maryam to the end. The text is preceded and followed by inscriptions, short texts, and excerpts of several texts, including notes mentionning birth and death dates, ranging from 1251 to 1278 H. (fol. 1a, 281a-283b, dates on fol. 282a).
