Notlar Ms. codex.Title from inscription on fol. 1a.Physical description: 23 lines per page. Written in medium small naskh in black ink with use of red and occasional green. Portions of the text are written diagonally or vertically. Cream paper, hardly translucid, with pulp, chain and laid lines visible. Note on the meaning of "Badīʻah" on fol. 1a. Excerpts from several texts on fol. 225a-226b.Collation: Paper, fol. i, 226, i ; i (later added fly-leaf) + 1¹⁰ (-1 at beginning of quire) 2-8¹⁰ 9¹² 10-21¹⁰ 22⁴ (+1 at beginning of quire) + i (later added fly-leaf) ; catchword at the verso of each leaf ; the quires are numbered using Arabic numerals for the first 9 quires, and ordinals from the tenth quire on.Inscription in Arabic script on fol. i(a): "Raqm 29".Origin: According to colophon, copy completed on Tuesday 25 Rabīʻ al-Awwal 884 [June 16, 1479] (fol. 225b). Undated collation statement on the margin of the colophon.Basmallah: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ولا توفقى الا بالله عليه توكبت واليه انيب اللهم صل على سيدنا محمد واله وصحبه وسلمIncipit: قال شيخنا الشيخ الامام العلامة فريد دهره ووحيد عصره ابو المحاسن تقى الدين ملك المبادين ابو بكر بن حجة الحنفى القادرى الحموى منشى دواوين الانشا الشريف بالديار المصرية والممالك الاسلامية ... الحمد لله البديع الرفيع الذى احسن ابتدا خلقنا بصنعه واولانا جميل الصنيع واستهملت الاصوات ببراعة توحيده وهو البصيرExplicit: وما تقرر من البحث مع المقصر فى نظمه ما يتفرق به شمل مجاميع الادب وتنسى تذاكره وقد انتهت الغاية بحمد الله الي حسن الختام واوردت ما لا خفيت محاسنه على المتامل ولاضمته صدر الكتاب وانا اسال الله حسن الخاتمة ببركة الممدوح عليه افضل الصلاة والسلام - Brown leather over thick paper pasteboards for upper and lower covers.
