Foliation in black ink using Arabic numerals (starting with "1" on fol. 8a).Collation: paper, fol. i, 170, i ; i (fly-leaf, fol. 1 in the modern foliation) 1¹⁰ (-1 at beginning of quire ; + 2 added leaves at beginning of quire) 2-16¹⁰ 17¹⁰ (-1 at end of quire) i (fly-leaf) ; catchword on the verso of each leaf.Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "455". Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover: "1222/2 Ḥ".Origin: According to colophon, copy completed by Ḥusayn ibn Maḥmūd on a Thursday in the middle of Rabīʻ al-Awwal 1028 [Feb. 28 1619] (fol. 167b, followed by verses of poetry).Incipit: كتاب الطهارة من اراد الصلوة وهو محدث فليتوضاء وفرض الوضوء غسل الوجه واليدين مع المرفقينExplicit: على شىء من التركة فاطرحه كان لم يكن ثم اقسم الباقى على سهام الباقين - Brown leather over paper pasteboards for upper and lower covers. Blind stamped scalloped mandorla filled with arabesque and animal scenes (a bird flying clearly visible; worn out) and a thin outer border consisting of a single fillet with impressions of a small stamp with a flower motif in the inner corners. Paper pastedowns. - Collection on fatwas according to the Ḥanafī school by Majd al-Dīn ʻAbd Allāh ibn Mawdūd al-Mawṣilī al-Buldajī (b. Mawṣil 599 or 609/1202 or 1212, qāḍī in Kūfa, d. Baghdād, 683/1284). This copy starts directly with Kitāb al-Ṭahārah with no preamble. The text proper is preceded on fol. 2a-7a by several short cases in Ottoman Turkish and Arabic, excerpted from several texts, verses of poetry, and a table of contents (fol. 4b-5a). It is followed on fol. 168a-171a by several short excerpts, explanations of words and places, and inscriptions, in Ottoman Turkish and Arabic.
