European glazed paper with watermark. Several silver ink spills (see especially fol. 72a). Several glosses on the margins and on pieces of paper placed between the original folios (see fol. 22; between fol. 24 and 25). Title on the lower edge of the text block, reading "Birjandī". Modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals (omits the first three folios, blank except for inscription on fol. (i)a). Kabīkaj and title on fol. (i)a. Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "Riyāḍīyāt 55". Both covers have a similar gold and brown central mandorla and an ouyter frame made of blind tooled and gold painted fillets. The envelope flap has a similar outer frame with a smaller stamp on its pointe. Marbled paper pastedowns. - Commentary on a commentary by Mūsá ibn Muḥammad Qāḍīʹzādah (d. ca. 1436) on a work on astronomy by Maḥmūd ibn Muḥammad ibn ʻUmar al-Jighmīnī (d. after 1221) entitled al-Mulakhkhaṣ fī ʻilm al-hayʼah.
