Dark cream paper with laid lines visible. Marginal annotations apparently by the same hand as the main text. The text was collated. Several inscriptions on fol. 1a, including a prayer with magical script. Wear; edges of leaves wanting; loose leaves.Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "Qirāʼāt 8". Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on pastedown of the upper cover: "Ḥ 948".Origin: According to colophon, copied by Abū ʻAbd al-Raḥmān ʻAbd al-ʻAzīz ibn al-shaykh al-imām al-marḥūm al-maghfūr Muḥammad ibn al-shaykh al-marḥūm Abī al-Fatḥ ibn Muḥammad al-Iṣfahānī, on 21 or 11 Muḥarram 734 [Sept.-Oct. 1333] in Baghdād, in the Ribāṭ al-shaykh Nūr al-Dīn ʻAbd al-Raḥmān (fol. 45b). Note on the margin of the colophon stating that the copy was made on the copy of al-shaykh Muḥammad ibn Maḥmūd ibn Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad al-ḥāfiẓ al-sharīf al-Samarqandī and that it was collated with the Shaṭibīyah (this last collation is dated beginning of Shawwāl 736 [May 1336] and signed Nūr al-Iṣfahānī).Copyist: Abū ʻAbd al-Raḥmān ʻAbd al-ʻAzīz ibn Muḥammad ibn Abī al-Fatḥ ibn Muḥammad al-Iṣfahānī.Incipit: بسم ... رب اعن بكرمك قرات على الفقيه المقرى ابى داود مفترح(؟) بن ابى القاسم بن حاج(؟) الاموى مولى لهم فقلت له قلتم رضى الله عنكم قرات على ابى عمرو عثمانExplicit: فى جمع ذلك استغنآء عنها فاعلم ذلك موفقّا لطريق الحق ومنهاج الصواب ان شاء الله تعالى وبالله التوفيق وصلى الله على سيدنا محمد واله الطيبين الطاهرين وسلم تسليما كثيرا تم كتاب التيسر - Dark brown leather over paper pasteboards for upper and lower cover and flap.
