Notlar Ms. composite codex.Title supplied by the cataloger.One of the sections bears the date 1161 (1748), and a couple of inscriptions on the inside of lower cover are dated 1172 (1758-59), but many sections of the ms. are clearly older, some possibly of a much earlier date.Texts are written in a large number of different hands, scripts and styles, all are in black ink and some additionally have red and some silver for rubrication. Variety of paper, but most of it is thick, cream paper with only laid lines visible. Though all these parts were bound together, the binding is damaged and a lot of the sections are loose inside the covers. Most of the paper is very fragile, some is water damaged and some of the text is smudged or illegible. - Paper over pasteboard with envelope flap. The paper was marbled, as on the envelope flap, but is now faded and brown on covers. Brown leather on spine and the fore edge flap. Lining to the envelope flap in marbled paper. Lining to the fore edge flap in brown leather. Binding is very damaged and extremely fragile. - A composite ms. made up of numerous different parts, of different dates, and in different hands and styles, all of it a collection of invocations (duʻāʾs) for various purposes. Most of the duʻāʾs are in Arabic, but some are followed by translations/interpretations in Ottoman Turkish. Ms. has an inscribed "Yad Fāṭimah"-style stamp in blue ink on a small piece of paper (dimensions: 95 x 77 mm) enclosed inside the lower cover.
