MS is written by different hands, while the copyist whose name appears in the colophon, as he himself states, has only completed the copy.Collation: Paper ; fol. 394 ; first 16 quires signed ; catchwords ; modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.Layout: 15-18 lines per page.Description: Rubricated ; some sections have full vowel signs ; a few sheets of paper tinted light red ; watermarks (three crescents; roman-alphabet lettering "GFA" and "Fabiani"; unidentified spade-shaped mark) ; MS in good condition.Origin: According to colophon copy completed 26 Ramaḍān 1217 by Ḥasan ibn ʻUmar Dādah (fol. 394a).Incipit: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم الحمد لله الواحد القهار العزيز الفغار ... اما بعد فقد قال الله تعالى وما خلقت الجن والانس ... فرأيت ان اجمع مختصرا من الاحاديث الصحيحة ...Colophon: قد تشرف بتکميل نسخه العبد الفاني الراجي عفو ربه حسن بن عمر داده خادم فقراء تکية بابا بيرم ولي. غفر الله له ولوالديه ولجميع المسلمين. تتمته في رمضان المبارك خلا ستة عشرين يوما سنة 1217 تم - Re-used type II (with flap) binding in brown leather. Blind-tooled and punched central circular design and blind-tooled edging on covers. Leather doublures with block-pressed design. Not sewn. Cover appears to have been cut down to fit this manuscript. - A collection of genuine ḥadīths which are calculated to lead to moral and pious life.
