Notlar Ms. codex.Title from beginning of text (fol. 4a).The title and the name of the author also appear in several hands on fol. 1a.19 lines per page. Written in black ink with use of red for the headings, decorations of verses and re-inking of letters of important words (e.g. lām of "qāla"). Glazed oriental paper with vertical laid lines visible. Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Collated with the autograph (collation statements on fol. 11b, 20b, 29b, 39a, 49a, 55a, 63b, 70b, 79a). On fol. 1a: note on the title and name of the author transcribed from the catalogue of the Maktabah al-Khadawīyah. Two modern foliations: one in pencil using Western numerals (including the two added flyleaves at the beginning) and one in black ink using Arabic numerals starting on fol. 2a [prev. 4a]. There is a table of contents corresponding to the foliation using Arabic numerals on fol. (i)b-(ii)a, which are contemporary with the repair of the leaves of the ms. Worm-eaten.Fol. i and ii are later fly-leaves contemporary with the repair of fol. 1.Copied by Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad al-Kutubī al-Miṣrī al-Shāfiʻī on Tuesday, 17 Muḥarram 880.Incipit: بسم ... صلى الله على سيدنا ... آله يقول الشيخ الامام الحافظ الاوحد قاضي القضاة تاج الدين بن الشيخ الامام قاضي القضاة اوحد المجتهدين ابي الحسن السبكي اما بعد حمد الله معيد(؟) النقم ومبيد النعم ... فقد ورد عليّ سوال مضنونهExplicit: وعلى آله عودا على بد مختتما على مفتتح وسلم تسليما دائما باقيا الى يوم الدين - Paper pasted on brown leather over pasteboards. The spine has been repaired with violet paper. Modern pastedowns and endpapers. - Moral treatise about how a man that has lost a spiritual or material blessing can recover it, illustrated by examples of men from different professions and offices.
