Top of last few leaves in v. 1 damaged with some loss of text; some leaves with wormholes, mainly marginal.Origin: Composition of v. 4 completed 12 Rabīʻ al-Thānī 1114 A.H. (5 September 1702); composition of v. 5 completed 13 Jumādá al-Thāniyah 1117 A.H. (2 October 1705). Present copy likely made soon after the composition of the work, since it was compared with a copy made by one of the author's students, as is stated on fol. 1 of v. 4 and 5. - Loose in recent full, wallet-style morocco binding with flap. - A large commentary on Qasṭallānī's biography of the Prophet Muḥammad.
