Glosses on the margin. Several inscriptions and impressions of seals on fol. 1a, including mentions of price. Majority of quaternions. Water damage of fol. 7a, with loss of text.Collation: Paper, fol. 146 ; 1⁸ (-1 at beginning of quire) 2-17⁸ 18⁸ (+3 at end of quire) ; catchword on the verso of each leaf.Handmade spine label with inscription in Arabic script: "Khulāṣat al-aqwāl" (horizontal).Origin: According to colophon, copied by Abū Naṣr al-Sharīf, Rabīʻ al-Awwal 957 [March-April 1550] (fol. 146a).Incipit: بسم ... وبه نستعين الحمد لله مرشد عباده الى سبيل السداد وهاديهم الى طريق النفع فى المعاش والمعاد وصلى الله على اشرف العباد محمد ... اما بعد فان العلم بحال الرواة من اساس الاحكام الشرعية وعليه تبتنى القواعد السمعيةExplicit: مذكور فى كتابنا الكبير فمن اراده وقف عليه هناك والحمد لله حق حمده والصلوة على اشرف خلقه محمد المصطفى المصفى من الدنس وآله المصطفين من الانس وسلم تسليما كثيرا كثيرا - Limp binding in golden brown leather.
