Light biscuit wove paper.Collation: Paper, fol. 104 ; 1-10¹⁰ 11⁴ ; catchword on the verso of each leaf.Inscription in Arabic script in red pencil on the pastedown of the upper cover: "Raqm 149 ʻ".Origin: According to colophon, copy completed on Tuesday 14 Dhū al-Qaʻdah 1275 [June 15, 1859] (fol. 102b).Incipit: بسم ... الحمد لله الذي اهبط بحكمته اسرار ذاته من سماء العما الى ارض الطبيعة الكلية واودعها بقدرته في صدف النطف اظهارا لخواص الاسماء ... [2أ] ... وبعد فان سلوك طريق الحق من اخلاق الانبياء والمرسلينExplicit: ولا تقدر ايها الاخ على ردها الا بالتمسك بالشريعة وصحبة العلماء العاملين وصلى الله على اشرف الانبياء والمرسلين والحمد لله رب العالمين ولا حول ولا قوة الا بالله العلي العظيم - Brown leather over paper pasteboards for upper and lower covers. Each cover has a border consisting of a running pattern of s-shape stamps and fillets. Paper pastedowns. Upper cover detached. - A Sufi treatise on the path of the soul towards God, comprising an introduction, ten chapters (bāb), and a conclusion (see description of contents in preamble, fol. 5b-6b). The text is followed on fol. 103b by an excerpt from the Taʼrīkh by Ibn ʻAsākir and by pen trials on fol. 104a.
