Thick dark cream paper with laid and chain lines visible. Fol. 111 and 112 are later fly-leaves with on fol. 111b, a definition of ʻilm al-maʻānī. Interlinear and marginal annotations. Seal on fol. 1b (repeated on fol. 110b). Title on the lower edge of the text block. Inscriptions in Arabic and Ottoman Turkish and ownership statements on fol. 1a: one signed al-Sayyid ʻUthmān?al-Mudarris, dated 1171 [1757] ; one signed Muḥammad al-Ḥāfiẓ al-[...?] al-qāḍī bi-Ṭarābulus al-Shām sābiqan ; one signed al-shaykh Muḥammad al-madʻuw bi-MuʼaddibʹZādah.Origin: Copy completed by Yūsuf ibn Ibrahīm ibn Muḥammad ibn Harūn ibn Zakaryā in Aleppo in the Masjid Ḥusām al-Dīn ibn Quṭlū (or Khuṭlū, see Ibn al-Shiḥnah. al-Durr al-Muntakhab, ed. 1990, index, s.v. ; colophon, fol. 110b).Copyist: Yūsuf ibn Ibrahīm ibn Muḥammad ibn Harūn ibn Zakaryā.Collation: Paper, fol. 112 ; 1¹⁶ (-1, before fol. 1) 2¹⁶ 3-7¹⁴ 8⁴ 9⁴ (+1, fol. 106) + ii (fly-leaves with inscription on fol. 111b) ; catchword on the verso of each leaf ; the quires are numbered using Arabic ordinals in the form "thānī" (see fol. 16a; omits a quire between "sādis" and "sābiʻ").Incipit: الحمد لله الذى استحق الوجود والوحدة بالذات ... اما بعد فانّ العلوم وان تنوعت اقسامهاExplicit: لا سيّما اللايح من اليقين البرهانىّ وقد اودع فى هذا الكتاب ما يعطيك هذا المقصود ويمنحك هذا المطلوب - Disbound. Only the leather spine is extant. - Treatise on theological and philosophical matters, written according to kalām against the philosophers' way. At the end of the copy, reading statement stating that it was read in Aleppo with Tāj al-Dīn al-Iṣfahbadī (possibly Tāj ibn Maḥmūd al-ʻAjamī al-Iṣfahīdī, ca. 729-Rabīʻ al-Awwal 807 [1328 or 9 - Sept. 1404]; see al-Ḍawʻ al-lāmiʻ, vol. 3, p. 25 and Zirikli, vol. 3, p. 87 and vol. 12, p. 194).
