Notlar Ms. codex.Title from inscription on fol. 2a.Physical description: 25 lines per page. Written in medium small nastaʻlīq in black ink with use of red for "qawluh". The text is framed within a single line in red (gold outlined in black on fol. 2b, with basmalah in gold. Light cream paper with laid lines and a few chain lines (in groups of two) visible; glossy. Ḥāshiyah on the margin. Several inscriptions on fol. 1a-2a, including ownership statements and kabīkaj. Inscriptions and short texts on fol. 196a-197b, including verses of poetry. Title on tail of text block. Quaternions.Origin: The date 783 H. is written at the end of the text. This appears to be the date of completion of the text or of the copy of the exemplar, and not of this copy. See the note on fol. 195b, left margin, apparently in the same hand as the main text, mentioning the date of birth and death of the author (Jurjān (nowadays: Astarabād), 740 - Shīrāz, 816).Incipit: بسم ... قوله اما بعد حمد واجب الوجود خص بالذكر من بين صفاته العلي ما هو اخص به تعالى اعنى الوجوب الذاتى لا نطوايها على سايرها اذ هو معدن لكل كمالExplicit: بتاثر المتاثر بقبول تلك الصفة فيكون هناك موثرية اخرى وهكذا يلزم التس والحمد لله على الاتمام والصلوة على سيد الانام وعلى اله واصحابه الكرام م - Lower cover and envelope flap of red-brown leather over paper pasteboards. The lower cover has a blind-tooled central mandorla filled with a geometrical motif and outlined in gold developing into square pendants on the vertical axis. Similar pattern on the pointe of the envelope flap, with an outer border consisting of blind-tooled fillets, a guilloche, and a single fillet in gold. The upper cover consists of brown leather over paper pasteboards with blind-tooling and stamping. Fore-edge flap, spine and edges of lower cover are made of the same leather. Brown leather doublure for lower cover and envelope flap; re-used paper with text for upper cover pastedown. - Gloss on the commentary by Maḥmūd ibn ʻAbd al-Raḥmān al-Iṣfahānī (d. 749/1348) on Tajrīd al-ʻaqāʼid by Naṣīr al-Dīn al-Ṭūsī.
