Notlar ff. 150. 210 x 152; 156 x 88 mm. 23 lin. 17th cen.The present ms. differs considerably from the printed text (ed. ʻAbd al-Fattāḥ Muḥammad al-ḥulw, Cairo, 1967): the first five lines of the preface are identical with that of the authorʼs Khabāyā al-zawāyā (Berlin 7414), but from line 6 on (beginning with the words ونهدى صلات الصلاة ) the text agrees with ed. ḥulw, v. I, p. 3, line 9sqq.The section dealing with poets of Egypt (fol. 90b sqq.) resembles closely the third qism of Khabāyā al-zawāyā (Berlin 7414, fol. 73a sqq.). On the other hand, the title Rayḥānat al-alibbāʼ appears in the preface (fol. 4b, line 21) and the section dealing with the poets of Maghrib (fol. 50a sqq.) forms the second qism, as in the printed text (v. I, p. 289sqq.), while in Khabāyā al-zawāyā this section represents the fourth qism. Last entry (fol. 150a-b): ʻAbd al-Raḥmān al-Khiyarī (ed. ḥulw v. I, p. 445-448). Title on fol. la and top edge (by a different hand): Khabāyā al-zawāyāBrockelmann, GAL, II, 368 (no. 7); S II, 396.Incip.: ... نحمدك اللهم حمدا ىطوق جىد البلاغة ... هذا وانى کنت
