Foliation in Western numerals in pencil. Glazed European paper. A short paragraph in pencil on fityān on fol. 65a. Fol. 1a has an obliterated ownership statement dated 1082 (1671-72).Incipit: الحمد لله الذي جعل الفتوة لباس التقوي وحلت الأنبيا سلك بها من اخص من عباده الأوليا والأصفيا ... اما بعد فقد روي عن محمد بن السيد علاء الدين الرضي عفى الله عنه مصنف هذه الفتوة ومعرفة الطريق والحقايق واركان الشريعةExplicit: ومن يتبعها من الصنايع والحرف ونعوذ بالله من الزياده والنقصان وسالة الاحسان - Brown and olive marbled paper over pasteboard with dark burgundy leather on spine. Pastedowns in yellow paper. One flyleaf at the front in light cream paper. Label on spine: "Taṣawwuf 55". - A treatise in the precepts of the tradition of futuwwa, expressed in the form of address to the novice. Apart from explanations on general concepts of taṣawwuf linked to futuwwa, the treatise also contains a futuwwa silsilah. The name of the author from the beginning of the text on fol. 2a.
