Marginal annotations on the first pages of the text. Collation notes on the margins (see collation statement, fol. 129b). Fol. 130a-131b: Blank. Foliation in black ink using Arabic numerals, starting with "2" on fol. 3a. Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover: "Raqm 81".Collation: Paper, fol. 131 ; 1¹⁰ (+1, fol. 1) 2-13¹⁰ ; catchword on the verso of each leaf.Copy completed in 1171 H. [3أ] ... وبعد فانه قد جرى ببعض اندية الادب الذي ركدت في هذا العصرِ ريحهExplicit: فقال اجعل الموت نصب عينك وهذا فراق بيني وبينك فودعته وعبراتي تتحدرن من المأقي وزفراتي يتصعدن من التراقي وكانت هذه خاتمة التلاقي قال القاسم بن علي هذا اخر المقامات التي انشاتها بالاغترار وامليتها بلسان الاضطرار وقد الجئت الى ان ارصدتها للاستعراض وناديت عليها في سوق الاعتراض هذا مع معرفتى بكونها من سقط المتاع ... ولكن كان ذلك في الكتاب مسطورا وانا استغفر الله مما اودعتها من اباطيل اللغو واضاليل اللهو واسترشده الى ما يعصم من السهو ... وولي الخيرات في الدنيا والاخره وصلى الله على سيدنا محمد واله وصحبه اجمعين والحمد لله رب العالمين - Dark red leather over paper pasteboards for upper and lower covers, fore-edge flap and envelope flap. Upper and lower covers have a central obloid blind stamp outlined in what appears now as black. Outer border made of fillets and a running paterrn using the same material. Portion of the same border on the envelope flap, with small stamp on its point. Paper pastedowns. - Elegant copy of the Maqāmāt al-Ḥarīrī.
