Ownership statement in the name of ʻAbd Allāh bin ʻUthmān bin ḤumāmīʹZādah, dated 1250 (1834 or 5) and accompanied by two faint stamps on fol. 1a . Gold tooled central mandorlas with radiating foliage motifs painted in gold, and a border design painted in gold on covers. Border design painted in gold on envelope flap. Lining to envelope flap and pastedowns in yellow paper. Lining to fore-edge flap in green fabric. Label on upper cover: 462. - Tarikatçı Emir's commentary on Hamza Efendi's Risālah fī ḥaqq al-bayʻ wa-al-shirāʼ, a treatise on trade in Islam. The title wrongly identifies the work as Hamza Efendi's treatise itself. According to the text, the commentary was completed on the 5th of Rajab 1129 (15th of June 1717) -- see explicit (fol. 179a).
