Notlar Ms. codex.Title from a later addition in pencil on fol. 6a. Other titles supplied by the cataloger.Copied by the author Mustafa Şemi and completed on the first of Rajab 996 (1588) -- colophon (fol. 106a).17 lines per page. Written in a small elegant, fully vocalised naskh in black ink with use of red for rubrication. First 9 fol. have text frames in gold leaf outlined in black ink. The rest is without text frames. Fol. 6b has an elegant illuminated head piece, executed in gold leaf with blue and orange watercolors. Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Dark cream glazed paper with visible chain lines. Many short inscriptions (chiefly verses of poetry) on fol. 1a-6a, and few on fol. 106b-110b. One of the inscriptions on fol. 1a has the place, Istanbul, and date 1117 (1705-6). Several inscriptions on fol. 2a are dated 1123 (1711-12). Four stamps, one on fol. 1a, two very faint on fol. 5a, and one on fol. 5b.Incipit: شکر وسپاس بى قياس شول قادر قيومه كه لطف بى غايت وكرم بى نهايتندن معجز شعارExplicit: حق تعالينك رحمتى شول كمسه ندى روحى اوزره اولسون كين نصايح را بخواند او بسى كه بو نصيحتلري اول كمسه چوق اوقويه - Brown leather over pasteboard with a gold guilloche and fillets around the edges of covers and blind stamped and gilt mandorals in the centre of upper and lower covers. Pastedowns in marbled paper. - A commentary on Farīd al-Dīn ʻAṭṭār's mystical poem Pendname by Mustafa Şemi, properly entitled Saadetname.
