Notlar Ms. codex.Both titles from the introduction (fol. 9b and 10a).Composed or copied in Medina in Rajab 1205 (1791)? - this is possibly the author's own copy: other copies do not have the same ending signed Şanizade Mehmet Sadık -- see end of text/colophon.19 lines per page. Written in a small shikastah-nastaʻlīq in black ink with use of red for rubrication. The text is written inside a double line frame in red ink. On fol. 9b-10a the frames are in gold leaf outlined in black ink. Fol. 9b has a small head piece in gold ink. Glazed European paper. Fol. 1b-8a have a contents grid outlined in two lines of red ink, filled only up to fol. 4b.Ms. additions:Text has heavily annotated margins throughout, much of it in the same hand.Short inscriptions on fol. ia, 1a, 8b, 9a, 248b and 249b, in several different hands.The main text ends on fol. 236a and is followed by 3 texts of wedding sermons (in Ottoman) on fol. 236b-237a, and then by a copy of an Imperial bequest document (vakfiye) on fol. 237b-248a. All of these are in similar hand and could be additions by the scribe/author. Fol. 8b has a copy of an Imperial order (hatt-i hümayun) in the same hand.Ms. has 6 loose sheets inside the covers, consisting of fragments from other mss, copies of letters and another copy of an Imperial order (hatt-i hümayun), the latter being in the same hand as in the main ms.Incipit: الحمد لله الذى تفرد بالقدم والبقاء وتوحد بالعظمة والكبرياء تعالى ذاته وتقدس صفاته ... اما بعد فيقول العبد المعترف بالعجز والتقصير والمحتاج الى كرم مولاه اللطيف الخبير محمد صادق الحقير هذه مجموعة الصكوك الشرعيةExplicit: سلطان سليمان خان طاب شراها حسب العاده ملازمته قبول بيورلمق رجاسى پايه سرير معلايه اعلام اولندى فى رجب الفرد لسنه خمس ومأتين والف من هجرة من له العز والسعاد والشرف العبد الداعى شانى زاده محمد صادق المتشرف بقضاء المدينة المنوره على ساكنها افضل التحيه - Marbled paper over pasteboard, with envelope flap and red leather on spine, fore edge flap and around edges of covers. The binding is damaged and the envelope flap is loose inside the lower cover. Pastedowns in ochre paper. - A collection of various documents providing legal opinions regarding matters of fiqh and sharīʻah, some of them in the form of fetvas (extracted from other books) and some originating from the author's father and teacher, Mahmut Paşa Şanizade (see the introduction).
