Notlar Ms. codex.Title from ʻunwān on fol. 1b.Text is undated but contains ms additions the earliest of which is dated 15th of Muḥarram 1247 (1831).17 lines per page. Written in an elegant medium large taʻlīq in black ink with use of red for rubrication. The text is written in two columns. On fol. 1b-2a the text is inside a frame outlined in gold leaf, and fol. 1b has a simple illuminated head piece (ʻunwān) in gold leaf, with the title inside it in red ink. Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Glazed European paper which appears to have been re-glazed with egg-albumen.Ms. additions: Several inscriptions in a later hand on the front pastedown and the recto of front flyleaf, chiefly verses and various prayers in verse, some have traces of gold glitter with which the ink was laced; a short text in the same hand (a copy of a petition) on the verso of front flyleaf, dated 15th of Muḥarram 1247 (1831); and a copy of a letter, again in the same hand, on fol. 1a, dated 19th of Rajab 1247 (1831).Incipit: حمد بى حد اول خدآيه ابتدآ حكمتينه يوقدر آنك انتهآExplicit: ظريفي پندنى كوش ايله سنده حيآت آبنى نوش ايله سنده - Brown leather over pasteboard. Blind guilloche and clusters of small rosetta stamps around the edges of covers. Diamond-shaped cluster of small rosetta stamps in the centre of upper and lower covers. Pastedowns in dark green paper and flyleaves in purple paper, both sprinkled in gold. - Zarîfî's Pendnâme, a work on Sufi ethics and code of conduct in verse.
