Notlar Ms. codex.Title from fol. 4a.Copied in Balikesri, by Abdullah bin Fazlî, and completed in the middle of Rabīʻ al-Awwal 1152 (1739) -- colophon (fol. 269).33 lines per page. Written in small nastaʻlīq in black ink with use of red. Text is within a frame outlined in one line of red ink. Ff. 4b-5a have a wide gold leaf frame outlined in black ink, and fol. 4b has a large illuminated head piece, executed in solid gold leaf, with orange and pink watercolor around the edges. Foliation in Arabic numerals in black ink. Glazed European paper. Ff. 2b-3b have a table of contents in black and red ink.Ms. additions: Another fetva added in a later hand following the colophon on fol. 269a; several fetvas added on ff. 269b-270a, most of them by Hacı Halil, the Müftü of Balikesri and a previous owner of the book (see provenance note below); a few short inscriptions (a prayer etc.) on ff. 1a and 4a.Incipit: زيد مؤمن بر ا مرذى باله شروع ايتكده نه ايله بداء اتمك كركدر كه مبارك اوله الجوابExplicit: البرهانى فى كتاب ما يمنع عنه الانسان وما لايمنع - Burgundy leather with envelope flap. A gold roll, fillets and small rosetta stamps around the borders of upper and lower covers and the envelope flap. Pastedowns and lining to the envelope flap in brown with red marbled paper. Flyleaves in a different, brown, yellow and blue marbled paper. Lining to the fore edge flap in red leather. Label on the upper cover: "Thānī 295". - A collection of fetvas by Șeyhülislâm Minkarizade Yahya, collected and edited by his pupil and Șeyhülislâm himself, Mehmet Ataullah Efendi (d. 1715). This copy does not have an introductory section which appears in other copies of this collection (see Verzeichnis der Orientalischen Handschriften in Deutschland, XIII, 4, no. 80).
