Rubrication and catchwords. Fol. 64b, 68b-72b, 76b, 85a blank. Light staining; mild insect damage. In good condition. - Brown paper wrapper which is pasted to the last leaf. - A comprehensive work on materia medica dedicated to the Safavid Shāh Sulaymān, r. 1666-1694, written to correct the errors of the Ikhtiyārāt-i Badīʻī and based largely on the Jāmiʻ-i Baghdādī. The first part contains five tashkhīṣāt while the second contains three qisms. According to Storey (III, 261), the third qism may never have been written. This copy contains tashkhīṣ 4 on poisons. The text is followed by prescriptions, talismans, and symbolic alphabets on fol. 64a-88a.
