Extensive damp staining causing blurring of text, particularly in upper outer corner.Decoration: Small illuminated ʻunwān on fol. 1b, with title in central gold lozenge in white. Two minatures: on fol. 6a, two women share a drink while two female musicians play and a man looks in; on fol. 25a, a shaykh speaks to a young man on a camel while other men look on from behind some hills. - Full brown leather over pasted boards with blind-stamped central mandorla and pendants and blind-tooled fillets; heavily water damaged. Paper doublures from printed material. - Selections from Omar Khayyam's quatrains.
