Notlar Ms. codex.Title from cover.Physical description: 9-10 lines per page; written in nastaʻliq script in black and red inks on white glazed, laid paper. Some marginalia. Illuminated ʻunwan in red, green, and gold on fol. 1a. Text framed by double red lines; margins painted olive green. On fol. 1a and 60b, text is surrounded by gold and margins are flecked with gold. Text has been cut from a different ms. then pasted with strips of paper to create a full page; decoration was added after constructing the pages. Extensive insect damage and some damp staining, but text still legible.Illustrations: Mughal-style paintings bordered by floral and geometric motifs in gold and either green, orange, pink, or yellow; present on fol. 6a, 11a, 15a, 26b, 32b, 38a, 45b, 51a, 52b, 59b. - Boards with cloth spine. - Indo-Persian manuscript with text based on the classical Persian story of Yūsuf va Zulaykhā, accompanied by ten full-page miniatures illustrating sex practices.
