Light staining and smudging. In excellent condition.Origin: Text completed in "the second third of the second third of the third third of the first quarter" of 1132 H [sic: read 1232], i.e. February 1817. This copy completed in the last ten days of Muḥarram 1307 H [September 1889] (fol. 149a).Incipit: الحمدلله الاول بلا اول كان قبله و الاخر بلا آخر يكون بعده ابتدع بقدرته الخلق ابتداعا - Polemical tract in written in response to the writings of missionary Henry Martyn, dedicated to Fatḥ ʻAlī Shāh Qājār (fol. 3a). According to the Marʻashī catalog, this is supposed to be a refutation of Martyn's Mīzān al-ḥaqq; however, this is the title of a Christian apologetic written by K. G. Pfander in German in 1829 and translated into Persian in 1835.
