Rubrication and catchwords. Some damp staining which is more extensive at the beginning of the manuscript; paper repairs to the first few leaves and others scattered throughout manuscript.Decoration: On leaf 1b is an illuminated ʻunwān in gold and color, somewhat worn. On leaves 1b-2a the margins are decorated with a gold floral pattern that is partially damaged due to damp staining and paper repairs.Origin: 919 H [1513 or 1514], by Muḥammad Amīn ibn Sayyid Muḥammad Tāshkandī [leaf 321b]. The date appears to have been added by a different hand, but judging from the paper the manuscript appears to be from the 16th century. The original text was completed in 909 H [1503 or 1504], according to the two chronograms on leaf 321b.Incipit: الحمد لمن رش رشحات الحقايق والحكم على قلوب العارفين بفيضه الاقدس الاقدم والصلوة على المظهر الاتم - Half leather with paper covers. - A well-known biography of members of the Naqshabandī order consisting of a maqālah, three maqṣid, and a khātimah (see leaf 3b).
