Notlar Ms. codex.Title from fol. 1a.Physical description: 23 lines per page, in four columns; written in small nastaʻliq in black on thin glazed, laid Arabic paper. Text bordered by blue, gold, and red, with outer marginal blue border; columns separated by double red lines. Catchwords; headings in red. Numerous lacunae throughout the first three poems. Some damp staining and smudging; edges ragged and numerous leaves detached. A few are partially torn resulting in loss of text. Covers detached and spine missing.Decorations: Illuminated ʻunwāns at the beginning of each poem, in gold and colors. Eighteen Indian miniatures of mediocre quality.Origin: Texts 1-3 completed in Muḥarram 1244 H [July-August 1828] (fol. 110a). Remainder completed 20 Ramaḍān 1244 H [26 March 1829] (fol. 195b). Likely of Indian origin. - Covers are full brown leather over pasted boards with gold-stamped central mandorla, pendants, corner designs, and fillets; red leather doublures with gold fillets. Covers are damaged and detached. - Illuminated collection of Amīr Khusraw's epic poems in imitation of Niẓāmī Ganjavī's Khamsah; with eighteen Indian miniatures.
