Light staining and foxing; in excellent condition.Decoration: Illuminated ʻunwāns marking each poem and the prose introduction, well-executed in gold and color. Section headers in red with gold and blue floral desgins in boxes on either side. Text framed in blue and gold with outer marginal gold border; columns and rows separated by double gold lines.Origin: Written by the author in 1297 H [1879 or 80] (fol. 29a); likely from Iran.Incipit (introduction): بعد از حمد و سپاس خداوند ىگانه و درود انبىاى کرام اطهارIncipit (text): الا اى خردمند بافر و جاى * ببحر تقارب تقرب نماى - Limp red-brown leather with blind-stamped and tooled fillets. - Introduction to the French language in poetic form with a prose introduction; preceded by a Persian poem on fol. 7b-9a.
