European glazed paper.Manuscript additions: two inscriptions and two ownership statements with seals, one almost completely obliterated, on fol. 1a; two pages of verse entitled "Kaside-yi hane-yi dirane" on ff. 1b and 2a; ownership statement, partially damaged by a burn mark, on fol. 326a, signed by Ṣāliḥ ibn Muḥammad and dated 1157.Incipit: حمد بي حد وثناي بي عد اول صانع ذو الجلال كه بوستان كون ومكاني انوار آثاريله روشن ورياض قلوب انساني انوار معارفيله كلشن ايلدي ... بعده بو بندهء كمينه قليل البضاعه شمعيء شمعExplicit: سنك غفارلغك رحيملغنه در بضاعت نياوردم الا اميذ حضرتنه بضاعت كتوردوم الا اميذ كتوردوم خدايا زعفوم مكن نا اميذ اي خدا بني عفوكندن ورحمتندن نوميذ ومرحوم ايله تمت هذه النسخه الشريفة بعون الله ... و اليه المرجع والمأب - Brown leather over pasteboard. Blind fillets on borders, and central blind stamped mandorla (made with a cut-out with gold tooled border and a blind stamp pasted in the middle) on upper and lower covers. Label on inside of upper cover reads: "Şerh-i Gülistan-i Sadi li-Şemi Efendi, 1038". - Mevlana Mustafa Şemi's commentary on Saʻdī's Būstān.
