Notlar Ms. codex.Title from fol. 2a.11 lines per page. Written in an elegant medium small naskh, fully vocalised, in black ink with use of red for rubrication. Text is written inside a gold leaf frame outlined in black ink, with use of gold circles for breaks within the text. Fol. 2b has an illuminated head piece executed in gold leaf with blue, red, orange, white and purple watercolors. Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Glazed cream paper with prominent fibres and visible laid lines. Inscription entitled "Qāla al-Nabī ʻalayhi al-Ṣalāt wa-al-Salām" on fol. 1a. An inscription about Imam ʻAlī on fol. 31b.Incipit: الحمد لله رب العالمين والعاقبة للمتقين ... اما بعد معلومك اولا كه علماء عظامدن ومشايخ كباردن اول مرشد كامل واول عالم عامل يعنى ابو حامد محمد غزالىExplicit: ورقاب ابائنا وامهاتنا من النار برحمتك يا عزيز يا غفار يا كريم يا ستار يا حليم يا جبار يا ارحم الراحمين - Brown leather over pasteboard with envelope flap. Spine and fore edge flap in burgundy leather. Single gold fillet around the borders of covers. Central gold motif made with a diamond shaped mesh pattern and two radiating fillets along its vertical and horizintal axes. Same design on the envelope flap. Pastedowns and lining to the envelope flap in red and green marbled paper. Lining to the fore edge flap in red leather. - Ottoman Turkish translation of Ghazzālī's ethical treatise Ayyuhā al-walad.
