Notlar Ms. codex.Title from fol. 1b.Copy completed in the last ten days of Jumādá al-Ūlá 1088 (1677) -- colophon (fol. 118a).17 lines per page. Written in medium small nastaʻlīq in black ink with use of blue ink for rubrication. Title on fol. 2b also in blue ink. Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Glazed European paper. Ms. additions: several short inscriptions on fol. 1a, 118a and on inside of lower cover; fol. 1a has a foliage motif drawing in black ink, and fol. 118b has two prayers in a later hand.Incipit: شكر وسپاس ومنت بى قياس اول خالق الجن والناسه كه موهبت واحسانى فيضدنExplicit: نثر ونظمه لامعى عمر عزيزى خرج ايدوب وافر پريشان سيلدك استغفر الله العظيم - Marbled paper over pasteboard with brown leather on spine and around edges of covers. The binding is very worn and only a little of the marbled paper remains. - Lâmiî Çelebi's allegorical work in mysticism, written in combination of verse and prose, a (loose) translation from Persian of "Ḥusn va dil" by Muḥammad ibn Yaḥyá Sībak Nīshābūrī (d. ca. 1448).

Kaynak Ownership statement in the name of Hüseyn ibn Yakup Paşa on fol. 118a. The statement is accompanied by two lines of poetry immediately after the colophon, and appears to the in the same hand and ink as the rest of the ms., so this is possibly also the scribe of the ms.Ownership statement in the name of Seyyid Mehmet el-Naʻtî, called Molla Murat Zade, dated 1176 (1762-63) on fol. 1a, accompanied by a circular seal inscribed: "Es-Seyit Mehmet, 1156".An embellished ownership signature drawn in black ink on inside of lower cover, reads: "al-Faqīr al-Ḥaqīr al-Muḥṣin al-Ḥājj Ḥanafī [?] Zādah ... [?] Muṣṭafá". This is accompanied by four octagonal seals, all of which are obliterated.Originally acquired by Robert Garrett from Abraham Shalom Yahuda ; 1942.Acquired from Abraham Shalom Yahuda.
