Record follows erroneous foliation.Physical description: Text 2 is 17 lines per page, written in small naskh in black; headings rubricated but most not completed. Text 3 is 19 lines per page, written in naskh in black with keywords and headings rubricated. Entire ms. is on tan glazed, laid Arabic paper with visible fibers. Catchwords. Fol. 44 is of modern paper, inserted as a divider between texts. Fol. 144a blank. Damp staining around outer margins; a few paper repairs.Origin: The colophon on fol. 143a is for a text that is not present, the Shāhnūmah of Muḥammad Jamāl al-Dīn. This leaf has been pasted to fol. 142 in the inner margin. However, the paper is the same and there is a similar pattern of damp staining along the lower edge, making it likely that this leaf was part of the original ms. but that the Shāhnūmah was subsequently excised. The date of completion is given as 23 Dhū al-Qaʻdah 1073 H. [29 June 1663]. Text 3 written in the hand of Muḥammad Ṣādiq al-Khvānsārī (fol. 142b).Incipit (text 2): الحمد لله رب العالمىن ... اما بعد بدانکه اين کتابرا کنز الکحالىن گوىند در علاج چشم از گفتار حکماء سلف و بر چند فصل گفته مىشودIncipit (text 3, as extant): اندر غرب و علاج آن باب دوىم اندر غده که در گوشه چسم بدىد آمد و علاج آن باب سىوم اندر سپلان و علاج آن مقاله چهارم اندر بىمارها و طبقه سلىجه و اين مقاله سىزده بابست - Full black leather with blind-stamped fillets; spine repaired. White machine-made paper pastedowns and flyleaves. - Collection of two texts on the treatment of eye diseases.
