Some staining and occasional smudging; in good condition.Origin: 1272 H [1855 or 1856] (fol. 49b).Incipit: نحمدك يا قدوس و يا مكمل النفوس ... اما بعد چنين گويد گرفتار مرض ناداني ... كه دريزمان [!] سعادت اقتران - Translation into Persian of the author's summary of Paracelsian medicine and his translation of Oswald Croll's Basilica chymica; translated by Aḥmad ibn Muḥammad al-Ḥusaynī for Fatḥ ʻAlī Shāh and Muḥammad Ibrāhīm Khān (fol. 1b). Although the translation is divided into two risālah, neither Storey nor the Marʻashī catalog recognize the second risālah as a translation of a separate work. However, the second risālah in this manuscript is entitled Kimiyā-yi malakī (fol. 26a) and contains the same contents as al-Kimiyāʾ al-malakīyah, the Arabic translation of Basilica chymica (see Islamic Manuscripts, New Series no. 856). The entire work is preceded and followed by several folios of excerpts on medicine and alchemy.
