Written in a medium small nastaʻlīq in black ink with use of red for rubrication. Text is written inside a double line frame in red ink. On fol. 1b the text frame is in wide gold leaf outlined in black and red ink. Fol. 1b has and illuminated head piece (ʻunwān): a floral design in green, blue, purple, yellow and brown watercolors with embossed gold leaf trimmings, surrounding the title in red ink. Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Dark cream wove paper. The main text ends on fol. 46a and is followed by excerpts of Viranî's poetry (in the same hand ) on fol. 46b-48b. Fol. 49a-52a have the text frames in red ink but are blank. Inscription in pencil on the recto of front flyleaf: "Vîranî Abdul, work on Bektaşî order", and "ZNG 79" and "Ex 516" on inside of upper cover, also in pencil. Ownership statement, in pencil, on fol. 1a in the name of Mustafa ... [?].Incipit: الحمد لله رب العالمين والصلواة والسلام على سيدنا محمد واله اجمعين امدى اى طالب فى حق الحمد لله دن مراد تكرئ اكمقدر تكرئ اكمقدن مراد بحمد الله اكر تكرئ ديلرسن اوزينه نظر ايلهExplicit: ولاكن الناس انفسهم يظلمون سبحانه ربك ورب العزت عما يصفون وسلام على المرسلين والحمد لله رب العالمين - Brown leather over pasteboard with envelope flap. Gold roll and fillets around the borders of covers and the flap. Endleaves and lining to the envelope flap in glossy pink paper. Lining to the fore edge flap in green leather. - A treatise in Sufism, particularly in the context of the Bektaşi order.
