Notlar	Ms. codex.Title from fol. 1a.Copied by Seyit Osman el-Üveysî bin Seyit Şeyh Mehmet Esat bin Şeyh Osman bin Şeyh Mustafa bin Şeyh Emrullah, "the servants of the noble cloak", i.e the keepers of the Prophet Muhammad's mantle in the Topkapi Palace Museum in Istanbul, and completed on the 20th of Rajab 1176 (1763) -- colophon (fol. 232a-b).17 lines per page. Written in a small nastaʻlīq in black ink with use of red. Text is written inside a frame in gold leaf outlined in black ink. Fol. 2b-3a have wide frames in gold leaf with lines in red and silver along the inner edge. Fol. 2b has an illuminated head piece executed in gold leaf with blue, orange, red, green and black watercolors. Catchwords on the verso of each leaf. Glazed paper with visible laid lines and prominent pulp. Foliation in Arabic numerals in red ink. An inscription in gold glitter ink on fol. 2a: "Ya Allāh" dated Muḥarram '24 (1809).Incipit: ربنا لا تزغ قلوبنا بعد اذ هديتنا وهب لنا من لدنك رحمة جوآهر حمد وسپاس لا يعد و زوآهر شكر بى قياسExplicit: و عامة المومنين و المؤمنات و على ملائكتك المقربين و على اهل طاعتك فى برك و بحرك اجمعين و قد اتفق لى الفراغ من تنميقه بعون الله وتوفيقه في رآبع يوم الثلثا من شهر رجب المرجب لسنة تسع واربعين والف من هجرة النبوية ... وانا الفقير عبد الله بن الشريف محمد عبد الله القسطنطينى مولداً و موطناً البيرامى طريقة غفر الله له ...فتحا مبينا - Brown leather over pasteboard with envelope flap. Gold tooled panel design on covers made with gold guilloche and fillets around edges of covers, four foliage corner pieces and central mandorlas with pendants. Same design on the envelope flap. Gold tooled panel design on fore edge flap made with gold fillets and small rosetta stamps. Pastedowns and lining to the envelope flap in light grey paper sprinkled in silver. Lining to the fore edge flap in burgundy leather. Ms. is inside a case with a flap made out of red paper over pasteboard and red leather. - A treatise on Sufism. The work was completed on the 4th of Rajab 1049 (1639).
