The paper has been frame-ruled (also diagonally on the margins between the inner and outer frames).Decoration: Illuminated title page in gold and color (fol. 1a).Decoration: The ms. contains 116 small miniatures representing fruits and plants, including a plum tree (fol. 79a), a fig tree (fol. 84b), a banana tree (fol. 109b), tarragon (fol. 115a), etc.Typed catalog entry, with annotations in pencil, pasted on fol.1a, reading: "Sadruʼd-DinʼAli: Tibb-iʼ Adil Shāhi a Persian Medical Work dealing with the properties of drugs, written in Indian nastaʻliq within gold and coloured rules on 140 leaves, with illuminated sarlouh, and 116 small miniatures of medicinal plants. Above the sarlouh is the seal of Sultan Ibrahim ʼAdil Shah to whom the book is dedicated, dated 950 A.H.=A.D. 1543, textile binding 8vo [added in pencil:] Bidjapur Dekkan n.a. 965".Origin: According to Moghadam, probably 18th century India.Incipit: العظمة لك والكبرياء لجلالك اللهم يا قايم الذات ومفيض الخيرات واجب الوجود وفايض الجود وواهب العقول ... [4أ] ... اما بعد در عهد خلافت وايام سلطنت پادشاه عاليجاه پناه كردون باركاه سلطنت وخلافت وستكاه ظل الله فى ارضه ... The translation, made for and dedicated to Abū al-Muẓaffar Ibrāhīm ʻĀdil Shāh (941-965 [1535-1557]), was completed in 954 H. [1547]. The copy is incomplete at end. Fol. after fol. 139 missing. Fol. 140 later supplied by another hand.
