The text is framed within two red fillets on fol. 2b and a single red fillet on fol. 3a. Light cream paper with laid and chain lines visible. Fol. 1 is a later fly-leaf with inscriptions on European glazed paper with watermark. Notes and short excerpts on the margins : some notes are attributed to al-ʻIbrī (see fol. 108a) ; excerpts from Sharḥ al-Mawāqit [by al-Jurjānī]. Several inscriptions on fol. 236b. Kabīkaj, magic script and magic square on fol. 2a. Modern foliation in pencil using Western numerals.Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the upper cover: "ʻAqāʼid thānī 139". Inscription in Arabic script on a label pasted on the pastedown of the upper cover: "Ḥāʼ 1072".Incipit: الحمد لله الذى توحد بوجوب الوجود ودوام البقاء ... [3أ] ... اما بعد فان ارباب العقل متطابقون واصحاب النقل متوافقون على انّ اكرم ما يمتد اليه اعناق الهممExplicit (fol. 233a): وحكى عن آثارهم المرضية وسيرتهم الحميدة نفعنا الله لمحبّتهم اجمعين وجعلنا ... وبعثنا يوم الدين مع الذين انعم الله عليهم من النبيين - Dark brown leather over pasteboards for upper and lower covers, fore-edge flap and envelope flap. Upper and lower covers have a central gold and brown painted stamped mandorla and an outer frame made of gold single fillets and a running pattern. The envelope flap has a similar outer frame with a smaller stamp on its pointe. Single fillets outerframe on the fore-edge flap. Marbled paper pastedown. - Commentary on Ṭawāliʻ al-anwār min maṭāliʻ al-anẓār by ʻAbd Allāh ibn ʻUmar al-Bayḍawī.
