Possibly from Indonesia based on watermarks and colophon.Incipit: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم وبه نستعين بالله التوفق الحمد لله حمدا موافيا النعمه مكافيا ... هذا ما اشتدت اليه حاجة الراغبين في تكملة تفسير القران الكريم الذي الفه ... جلال الدين محمد ابن احمد المحلي ...Colophon: وصلي الله علي خير خلقه محمد واله وصحبه اجمعين نن مميلك سورة تفسر جلالي اين تونكودي كفال كوت لاࢴ عالم لاࢴ قلاي هات باليوسوسه هادي م دي كمبليكن جو وكفد توهن يا الهي ه - Contemporaneous? type II (with flap) binding in reddish-brown leather. Blind-stamped mandorla with pendants and cornerpieces outlined in gold with an inner and outer frame of gold- and color-tooling on covers. Similar decoration on flap and flap fore-edge. Text block sewn but not attached to outer binding.
