Opening spread frame-ruled in gold, red and black (fol. 1b-2a).Origin: According to colophon copy completed Tuesday 5 Dhū al-Ḥijjah 1219 by Muḥammad al-Ṣādiq ibn ʻAlī (fol. 220a).Incipit: بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم ... الحمد لله على ما انعم ... هذا مؤلف لخصت فيه کتاب النهاية فى غريب الحديث البن الاثير سميته بالدر النثيرColophon: وکان الفراغ من تنميق هذه النسخة المبارکة المرغوبة اللطيفة وقت صلاة الضحى على يد افقر العباد السيد الحاج محمد الصادق ابن الحاج علي غفرالله ذنوبهما وسترعيوبهما في اليوم المبارك نهار الثلثاء خامس شهر ذي الحجة سنة تسع عشرة ومائتين والف لهجرة من له العز والشرف - Later type II (with flap) binding in red leather and gray marbled paper. Orange paper pastedowns. Flap is missing. - An abridgment of al-Nihāyah fī gharīb al-ḥadīth wa-al-athar, a dictionary of the uncommon terms in traditions which are authentic but resting on the authority of only one Companion, by Majd al-Dīn Ibn al-Athīr.
